Fringe Bar is a small business in Philadelphia, PA. We are creative, fast-paced, fun and our goal is to provide our guests with fun and excitement any day of the week! Ranging from cabaret performances and drag shows, to DJ's and bands, Fringe Bar will have it all! Set on the Delaware River waterfront and located inside a historical riverfront pumping station, Fringe Bar is Philadelphia’s newest experiential, active fun space. As the latest addition to the FringeArts campus hub, the newly renovated bar and restaurant provide a highly versatile venue for unforgettable experiences year round. Dine indoors and enjoy our soulful pub cuisine featuring snacks and bites alongside an array of eclectic and funky beverage options enhanced by custom entertainment ranging from jazz ensembles, to funk bands, to cabaret, and more. Dining experiences are further accentuated by the soaring views of the Delaware River and Benjamin Franklin Bridge in our industrial-chic space directly adjacent to FringeArts’ renowned state-of-the-art 220 seat theater. Outdoors is Haas Biergarten, which serves as a vibrant, plant filled space in the warmer months and an intimate, cozy space in the cooler months..

We are in search of friendly, capable, and knowledgeable Servers to join us in the opening of a new restaurant in Old City!

What we are looking for from you:

The ideal candidate for this position is friendly, outgoing, and highly efficient at taking orders, bringing out food and drinks, and making sure guests are satisfied and having a great time out! We are looking for Servers who are knowledgeable on beer, wine, and spirits, as well as basic cookery. Ideal candidates are creative, work well with other, and work well in a fast paced ever changing environment. We're also looking for an individual who can use their superior knowledge of both food and drink to provide suggestions and help guide customers toward the best dining experience possible.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and interpret orders from customers.
• Recommend and explain daily specials.
• Prepare food according to customers' needs and preferences.
• Answer customers' questions and concerns about the menu.
• Take food and drink orders.
• Improve knowledge of a variety of wines, craft beers, liquors, etc.
• Work as part of a team.

What you may be looking for from us:

While we may not offer benefits to start, we do plan on paying all our credit card tips in cash nightly. We are looking to provide a fun and safe environment, education, and room for creativity.
