Bar / Server (Hybrid Role)

Palma Restaurant, located on Cornelia Street in the West Village, is seeking an experienced, motivated, and dynamic Bar / Server to join our front-of-house team. At Palma, we are known for our exceptional Italian cuisine, crafted from the finest ingredients, and our distinctive wine and beverage program. We pride ourselves on delivering warm, genuine hospitality that makes every guest feel welcomed and valued.
This hybrid role is ideal for a hospitality professional who is equally comfortable providing attentive table service and executing a thoughtful, high-quality beverage program behind the bar.
Key Responsibilities

Provide polished, attentive service to guests in both dining room and bar settings

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to restaurant standards

Demonstrate strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, wine, and cocktails, with the ability to guide guest selections

Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and service area

Collaborate with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth, seamless service

Handle guest feedback with professionalism and a solutions-oriented mindset

Support private dining and event service as needed
Qualifications

Strong background in both serving and bartending in a high-volume, upscale environment

Genuine hospitality mindset with a warm, guest-first approach

Solid knowledge of Italian food, wine, and classic cocktails

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple dining areas and private rooms

Excellent communication and multitasking skills

Professional, polished demeanor and strong attention to detail
Requirements

Flexible schedule with availability for a minimum of 2–3 lunch shifts

Availability for dinner shifts, including weekends
-
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
