The Place:
Palma is a 23 year old family owned gem located at 28 Cornelia Street in the West Village. We are a bustling traditional Italian restaurant that has very unique events capabilities.
The Person:
We’re looking for an intelligent, confident, organized and thoughtful individual who exemplifies Palma’s family values of hospitality, warmth and integrity. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, non-stop environment, is adept at prioritizing tasks, possesses excellent communication skills both with guests as well as colleagues, loves solving problems, building long-lasting relationships, and creating positive outcomes. The ability to be strategic, flexible, proactive, calm under pressure, resourceful and efficient is a key component to this role. Superior verbal and written communication skills, strong decision-making ability, sense of urgency, empathy and attention to detail is essential.
The Role:
- Works the front door & maximizes the book
- Manages guest expectations & offers a welcoming enviroment
- Answers all calls
- Makes reservations & confirmation calls
- Collaborates with the event department to ensure the book is properly plotted & blocked for day of and future events
- Plots the book for dinner service & communicates any notes to the manager on duty
- Takes over the phone purchase orders for guests and communicates the information to Managers & staff accordingly
- Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional customer service.
- Act as the reservations liaison between the guest and service managers
- Collects guest notes and includes details within reservations ensure clear communication
- Exhibit professionalism when speaking to guests and communicating information.
Wed - Sunday Evenings - Must be available SUNDAY

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $20.00) plus tips
Estimated Weekly Tips: $300.00
