Hosts at Tacombi greet and welcome all guests into the restaurant, ensuring a positive first and last impression of our taquerias.

• Offer every guest a friendly and sincere welcome; anticipate and be responsive to guests’ needs; thank every guest and offer a fond farewell
• Embody Tacombi's service culture and ensure the Tacombi experience is carried out throughout all interactions with guests
• Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests
• Manage reservations and take full responsibility of guests’ satisfaction until they have been seated and again during their departure
• Serve as an ambassador of the Tacombi brand to make a positive impact on the guests, coworkers, and community you touch in person and over the phone
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, professional appearance, and demeanor to ensure guest satisfaction; ensure work station is always clean and organized
• Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies, Tacombi brand values as well as neighborhood events
• Upbeat and positive attitude throughout the entire day, co-operate closely with team members and other departments to ensure an amazing guest experience
• Be observant to guest needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high-quality service

• Flexible schedule and ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Host/Hostess, Maître D’ or Concierge
• Have a positive attitude and be passionate about guest service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment
• Assertive self-starter - takes initiative and can work well independently
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to handle and move objects of up to 20lbs
• Knowledge of the New York cultural landscape including dining, art, music, film, and fashion are huge plus
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Proficient in Resy or other reservations softwares

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead as needed.
• Comfort working in environments with heat, humidity, cold storage, and exposure to common allergens, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to deliver safe, efficient service, with or without reasonable accommodation.
