About Us
Seiren is a Mediterranean conservas bar focused on thoughtful hospitality, pristine seafood, and a cocktail and wine program rooted in Spain, Portugal, France, and coastal Europe. We value precision, warmth, and education-driven service.
We are seeking an experienced Captain with strong wine knowledge and leadership presence to guide service on the floor, support guests with wine selections, and elevate the overall dining experience.
Key Responsibilities

Lead service on the floor, setting the pace and standard for hospitality

Act as a wine ambassador: guide guests through our wine list with confidence and clarity

Make thoughtful wine pairings with conservas, seafood, and shared plates

Support servers with wine education, tasting notes, and upselling techniques

Open and close service sections, manage timing, and anticipate guest needs

Maintain high standards of table maintenance, steps of service, and guest engagement

Communicate clearly with the bar and kitchen to ensure seamless service
Wine Knowledge Expectations

Strong understanding of Old World wines, particularly Mediterranean regions

Comfort discussing varietals, appellations, styles, and food pairings

Experience selling wine by the bottle and guiding guests at different knowledge levels

Somm experience is a plus, but not required—confidence and curiosity matter most
Qualifications

2+ years experience as a Captain, Lead Server, or similar FOH leadership role
-
Strong wine knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for wine and hospitality
-
Calm under pressure with excellent communication skills
-
Professional, polished, and guest-first mindset
-
Availability for evenings and weekends

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($14.00 - $16.00) plus tips
