About the Opportunity

A boutique, award-winning personal chef and catering company based in the Kendall area of Miami is seeking an exceptional Culinary Lead to join a small, high-performing kitchen team serving an elite clientele. This is not a restaurant job. This is a rare opportunity to do sophisticated, purposeful culinary work — weekly meal programs, private dining experiences, high-net-worth in-home services, and private aviation catering — for clients who genuinely care about what they eat and expect nothing less than excellence.

We are growing, adding positions, and looking for someone ready to grow with us. The right person has a clear path to Head Chef or Assistant Head Chef.

What You'll Do

You will be an active, hands-on chef from day one — cooking, not just directing. Your work spans:

  • Weekly meal preparation for discerning, health-focused clients with highly customized dietary needs — think specialty diets, food sensitivities, elimination protocols, and macro-specific meal planning
  • Private in-home chef experiences for high-net-worth clients who expect hospitality and presentation at the highest level
  • Catering and private events — you'll need to execute under pressure, adapt to last-minute changes, and represent the brand flawlessly
  • Private aviation catering — Michelin-level quality, meticulous ingredient specifications, often with tight timelines. This service line is growing and you'll be central to it
  • Sunday operations: menu planning, sourcing, shopping (personal vehicle required — mileage reimbursed), inventory, and prep

This is a cerebral role. You will be expected to ideate, not just execute. Clients come to us because we think for them — menu creativity, dietary navigation, and genuine culinary problem-solving are part of the job every week.

Schedule

We'll be honest: hours fluctuate. This is the nature of a boutique service business, and it's part of what makes this work different from a restaurant kitchen.

  • Monday – Wednesday: Active cooking, early start (typically 6:00am), hours vary based on daily workload
  • Thursday – Friday: Days off
  • Saturday: Active cooking, morning start, hours vary
  • Sunday: Menu planning, sourcing, shopping, prep — approximately 4–6 hours
  • Flexibility required for aviation orders and events, which can arise on any day with limited notice

Who You Are

  • An active, physically capable cook — you're still in the kitchen, still on your feet, still doing the work
  • Deeply knowledgeable about healthy, clean, ingredient-forward cuisine and comfortable navigating complex dietary restrictions (gluten-free, elimination diets, food sensitivities, organic sourcing)
  • Experienced in private chef, personal chef, or high-end catering environments — restaurant-only backgrounds are a harder fit for this world
  • Emotionally intelligent and mature — you work well within a small, established team and bring professionalism and calm to every service
  • Client-facing ready — you can represent a premium brand in someone's home and make them feel cared for
  • Close to our Kendall-area location — a realistic commute (Miami traffic) of 45–60 minutes or less is required. Please only apply if this describes you

  • Demonstrated experience cooking for clients with dietary restrictions or health-focused needs
  • Comfort with menu development and ideation — not just recipe execution
  • Private chef, personal chef, catering, or fine dining background
  • Michelin-level quality standards a strong plus, particularly for our aviation service line
  • References that speak to your professionalism, reliability, and culinary range
