Overview
Qiao Lin Hotpot is looking for enthusiastic, attentive, and service-oriented Servers to join our team at our Chicago Chinatown location. As a server, you will guide guests through the hotpot dining experience, ensure prompt service, and help create a welcoming and memorable visit for every table. If you enjoy hospitality, teamwork, and working in a lively restaurant environment, we’d love to have you on our team.
Responsibilities
• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their meal
• Explain menu items, soup bases, sauces, and how to enjoy hotpot properly (training provided)
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
• Serve dishes, refill broth or drinks, and monitor tables to ensure guests have everything they need
• Assist guests with questions, dietary needs, and special requests
• Maintain clean and organized tables, service stations, and dining areas
• Collaborate with hosts, runners, and kitchen staff to ensure timely service
• Handle payments accurately and thank each guest upon departure
Qualifications
• Previous server or restaurant experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Asian cuisine or hotpot is a plus (training will be provided)
• Mandarin-speaking preferred to assist Chinese-speaking guests and staff
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
