We are a well-established, family-owned restaurant group with a long track record of building beloved, high-volume restaurants and we're opening something new. We're looking for a sharp, hands-on AM Kitchen Manager to help us launch strong and build a kitchen culture worth being proud of.
The RoleYou'll own the morning, from the first delivery to the end of prep and last lunch ticket. You lead by example, hold the team accountable, and keep the kitchen running clean, tight, and on budget.
What You'll Own- Prep Planning & Supervision: Build daily/weekly prep lists, lead the AM prep team, and ensure every station is fully set before service
- Receiving: Inspect all incoming orders for quality and spec compliance; enforce proper storage and FIFO rotation
- Ordering: Manage daily and weekly orders based on par levels and prep needs; keep waste low and shelves stocked
- Scheduling: Write and manage the schedule within labor guidelines; anticipate volume shifts and proactively handle coverage.
- Costing: Monitor food cost through portion control and waste tracking; flag variances and help find solutions
- Team Management: Train, develop, and lead the AM line cook team with energy, consistency, and high standards every shift
- 3–5+ years in a supervisory kitchen role (KM, Sous Chef, or Lead Cook)
- Strong systems thinker - you build routines, not just react
- Comfortable with numbers: food cost, labor, and ordering quantities

Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $85,000.00)

Friedmans was named after the famous economist Milton Friedman who popularized the phrase, “there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch”. After long hours in the kitchen and playing with all different sorts of flours we believe we have created some of the best pancakes, waffles, and fried chicken. More importantly, they are all intrinsically gluten-free.
Our mantra is simple, “Eat good food” and this is what we strive to deliver to our guests. For us, it has two meanings. Firstly, eat food that tastes good. Secondly, be proud of the food you serve. We know where our food comes from. We communicate regularly with our farmers and are proud to serve antibiotic free meats & local vegetables.
