o ya is looking for an engaging individual who has a passion for hospitality, curiosity for Japanese cuisine/culture and commitment to the restaurant industry. This candidate will  lead our talented team of hosts by motivating them with their enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment to the guest. Responsibilities

Collaborating with the General Manager and Chef each day to run a seamless service

Managing the o ya guest experience from start to finish

Teaching and incorporating o ya’s service philosophy in day to day host tasks

Scheduling reservations and accommodating guest requests

Designing the host schedule

Training and development of new and existing host team

Providing support to the service team; assisting with clearing tables or running food, as needed

Skills & Qualifications

1-2 years host experience, fine dining preferred

Experience training others

Multi-tasking: managing phones, guests, coat check, server assignments

Strong organizational skills

Kind with a sense of humor

Experience in conflict resolution and managing challenging situations with empathy

This position is full-time 

o ya is open Tuesday to Saturday, for dinner service only
