Tied House is proud to work with a vast network of local farms, breweries, cider houses, wineries, and other producers here in our Great Lakes region for the development of both our food menu and our beverage program.
CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Warmly greet and acknowledge guests upon arrival
2. Follow established service sequence for consistent food & beverage guest experiences
3. Handle payment for guests purchases
4. Properly ring guest orders through the POS system (Toast)
5. Maintain positive guest relations at all times
6. Work with a spirit of teamwork, communicate needs and ideas to management
7. Maintain current and accurate knowledge of the restaurant and venue menus
8. Follows all safety and sanitation policies
9. Up-sell items to guests
10. Properly check all guests’ identification to ensure legal age compliance
11. Perform side work as needed
12. Keep server station clean and organized
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. Ability to satisfactorily communicate in verbal and written English with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding
2. Prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow up and execution
3. Have great time management skills
4. Maintain complete knowledge of Tied House and Schubas Tavern and hours of operation
5. Ability to comply with physical demands
6. Knowledge and understanding Tied House, Schubas Tavern & Lincoln Hall culture & initiatives
7. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
8. Must meet any required minimum age to serve alcohol
9. Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 year previous experience working as a server in a similar-sized restaurant preferred. Additional certifications (ServSafe, BASSET, etc.) required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Ability to be flexible and open-minded about job demands
2. Ability to work varied schedules, as business dictates
3. Ability to stand for 8 hours
