General Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a confidential search on behalf of a founder-led, independent hospitality group operating multiple concepts under one roof in Los Angeles. The Senior GM will carry direct oversight of the flagship dining concept while holding broader market-level responsibility across the group. This is a build role, not a maintenance role. The person stepping into this position will be responsible for operational infrastructure, team leadership, financial performance, and cultural continuity during an active phase of growth and expansion.

OPERATIONAL SCOPE

-Full P&L ownership across sales, labor, and COGS targets.
-Shift management and floor leadership across multiple dayparts.
-Recruiting, onboarding, and developing FOH management and hourly staff.
-Building and standardizing operational systems that support the creative identity of the concepts.
-Cross-concept coordination in a shared-space, multi-brand environment.
-Direct reporting to ownership on performance, priorities, and operational needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

-At least five years of consecutive experience as a General Manager in a full-service, high-volume restaurant hospitality concept.
-Demonstrated P&L acumen, including direct accountability for labor, COGS, and revenue targets in a sales volume of $8M or above.
-Proven experience managing and developing FOH management teams of five or more direct reports.
-Track record of success in independent, chef-driven, or founder-led environments.
-Experience operating within or overseeing multiple concepts or revenue streams simultaneously.
-Working knowledge of California labor law, including meal and rest break compliance, scheduling requirements, and wage regulations.
-Proficiency in restaurant management platforms and POS systems.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills for ownership-level reporting.

Hands-on operator with current or recent experience running shifts and working service alongside their team. Strong track record of team buy-in through influence rather than authority. Experience translating ownership vision into executable operational systems. Calm and solutions-oriented under pressure. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt quickly without losing operational discipline. Motivated by growth and impact over title or hierarchy. Background in independent restaurant groups strongly preferred.
