Sous Chef – Beck & Call NYC

Beck & Call is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our team. This role is designed for a professional who operates with precision, creativity, and a deep respect for elevated hospitality standards.

We are looking for an individual who is as comfortable leading a kitchen as they are contributing to the refinement of menus and execution of exceptional events.

Availability:

  • Flexible schedule required
  • Early morning availability is essential (some shifts beginning as early as 3:00 AM)

Compensation:

  • Base salary of $1,400 per week
  • Additional event compensation ranging from $40–$60 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-level kitchen environment
  • Strong professional references (will be contacted)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead kitchen operations with a focus on excellence, consistency, and efficiency
  • Execute and contribute to thoughtfully designed menus and high-end event production
  • Maintain an immaculate kitchen environment that exceeds all health and safety standards
  • Demonstrate strong leadership through effective delegation and team management
  • Navigate challenges with composure, decisiveness, and solutions-oriented thinking
  • Ensure all service and production timelines are executed flawlessly
