Sous Chef – Beck & Call NYC
Beck & Call is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our team. This role is designed for a professional who operates with precision, creativity, and a deep respect for elevated hospitality standards.
We are looking for an individual who is as comfortable leading a kitchen as they are contributing to the refinement of menus and execution of exceptional events.
Availability:
- Flexible schedule required
- Early morning availability is essential (some shifts beginning as early as 3:00 AM)
Compensation:
- Base salary of $1,400 per week
- Additional event compensation ranging from $40–$60 per hour
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-level kitchen environment
- Strong professional references (will be contacted)
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead kitchen operations with a focus on excellence, consistency, and efficiency
- Execute and contribute to thoughtfully designed menus and high-end event production
- Maintain an immaculate kitchen environment that exceeds all health and safety standards
- Demonstrate strong leadership through effective delegation and team management
- Navigate challenges with composure, decisiveness, and solutions-oriented thinking
- Ensure all service and production timelines are executed flawlessly
