SK Hospitality Group is seeking polished, detail-oriented Food Runners to join the opening team of Bueno and Yamasaki—two highly anticipated, design-forward dining concepts located within a 15,000-square-foot destination in the heart of the Financial District, moments from the New York Stock Exchange.
Yamasaki is a high-end Japanese Asian fusion restaurant, offering a refined, elevated dining experience rooted in precision, technique, and presentation.
Bueno is a fun, trendy restaurant and lounge, delivering a vibrant, high-energy atmosphere with bold Latin-inspired cuisine.

As a Food Runner, you will serve as a vital link between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring that every dish is delivered with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail. This role requires strong communication, a sense of urgency, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of presentation and service.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests promptly, ensuring accuracy and proper presentation
- Clearly and confidently describe dishes when presenting them to guests
- Maintain strong communication with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow
- Ensure all plates meet presentation and quality standards before leaving the kitchen
- Assist in coordinating timing of courses for a seamless dining experience
- Support servers and bussers during service to maintain efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and expo areas
- Assist with polishing and stocking of plateware, utensils, and service equipment
- Participate in pre-shift meetings, menu education, and ongoing training
- Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on excellence and hospitality
- 1+ year of experience in a restaurant environment preferred (upscale or fine dining a plus)
- NYC hospitality experience is a plus
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail, particularly with food presentation and accuracy
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
- Fast-paced, high-volume luxury dining and lounge setting
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry plates for extended periods
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
- Work environment includes restaurant, bar, and nightlife settings
- Impeccable grooming and professional appearance required at all times
- Ability to maintain composure and efficiency during peak service

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($11.40 - $12.00) plus tips
