About Us:
We’re an award-winning Italian inspired cocktail bar in the heart of Chelsea. We have established ourselves with elevated service and curated food and cocktails. We take pride on providing a welcoming, seamless experience for our guests, and taking the time to perfect our recipes in and out of the kitchen. We are interested in finding and working with a Working Head Chef who truly understands how to deliver exceptional hospitality and create memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Summary:
Coordinates activities of and directs training of cooks and other kitchen workers engaged in
preparing and cooking foods to ensure an efficient and profitable food service by performing the
following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Plans or participates in planning menus and utilization of food surpluses and leftovers, taking
into account probable number of guests, marketing conditions, popularity of various dishes, and
recency of menu
• Estimates food consumption and purchases or requisitions foodstuffs and kitchen supplies
• Reviews menus, analyzes recipes, determines food, labor, and overhead costs, and assigns
prices to menu items
• Directs food apportionment policy to control costs
• Work closely with food vendors and place weekly orders to support service needs.
• Observes methods of food preparation and cooking, sizes of portions, and garnishing of foods to
ensure food is prepared in prescribed manner
• Tests cooked foods by tasting and smelling them
• Devises special dishes and develops recipes
• Familiarizes newly hired cooks with practices of kitchen and oversees training of cook
apprentices
• Achieves budget goals given for weekly food and labor costs as directed from management
• Attends required trainings and meetings
• Ensures all daily operations remain fully compliant with health department regulations, sanitation standards, and food safety requirements
• Create and manage a weekly schedule for kitchen staff
• Collaborate with the bar team on cocktail development to help maximize shared ingredient usage and reduce waste
• Oversee the preparation of bar syrups, juices, and related beverage components 
• Delivers an exceptional experience through outstanding hospitality and food service to the
guests

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $80,000.00)
