Decades is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Server to join our team. The Lead Server plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, supporting front-of-house operations, and guiding the serving team to maintain high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding, friendly, and efficient service to all guests
- Lead by example in hospitality, professionalism, and teamwork
- Support servers and front-of-house staff
- Coordinate seating, table turnover, and service flow during shifts
- Assist management with opening and closing procedures
- Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Act as the point person during service and monitor service quality, especially during high-volume periods
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery
- Help manage reservations, waitlists, and takeout coordination as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of serving experience, preferably in a high-volume or casual dining environment
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
- Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations
- Passion for hospitality and team development
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 25–40 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
