Bar Bete is a modern french bistro in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn. This position provides the opportunity to be part of a small team where you will have significant impact on daily operations and decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Uphold consistent high-quality standards, foster a positive kitchen culture, inspire the team in partnership with the General Manager.
- Management: Oversee staff scheduling, training, and overall performance.
- Culinary Development: Lead the creation and evolution of the menu.
- Operational Oversight: Manage operational tasks, purchasing, cost controls, facility maintenance.
- Quality Control: Execute consistently high standard food and guest experiences.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of recent experience in a comparable position
- Current NYC Food Handler’s Certificate
- A genuine interest in seasonal cooking, French cuisine, and neighborhood dining
- Ability to lift 40+ pounds.
- Basic proficiency with Google Docs/Sheets.
- Working understanding of the Spanish language
