Job Details
Bar Bete is a modern french bistro in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn. This position provides the opportunity to be part of a small team where you will have significant impact on daily operations and decisions. 


Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Uphold consistent high-quality standards, foster a positive kitchen culture, inspire the team in partnership with the General Manager.
  • Management: Oversee staff scheduling, training, and overall performance.
  • Culinary Development: Lead the creation and evolution of the menu.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage operational tasks, purchasing, cost controls, facility maintenance.
  • Quality Control: Execute consistently high standard food and guest experiences.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of recent experience in a comparable position
  • Current NYC Food Handler’s Certificate
  • A genuine interest in seasonal cooking, French cuisine, and neighborhood dining
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds.
  • Basic proficiency with Google Docs/Sheets.
  • Working understanding of the Spanish language

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $85,000.00)
