Bartender

Essential Duties

1. Complete all tasks required to open the bar and set up for service, including preparing garnishes and syrups
2. Provide prompt, efficient and courteous service of food & beverage to guests.
3. Effectively communicate Post Haste's concept to guests
4. Explain food & beverage menu items, making recommendations based upon guest preference.
5. Work as a team with other Servers and Bartenders. 
6. Communicate any delays, complaints or other potential negative impressions to managers & shift leaders quickly and efficiently.  
7. Create memorable experiences for guests.
8. Work with and support other team members.  

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma preferred.
2. Minimum one (1) to two (2) years prior experience in high volume, fine-casual or fine-dining environments.
3. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Must be a team player with a strong work ethic.
5. Exceptional hospitality/guest relations.
6. Prior knowledge/use of Toast or similar POS is preferred.
7. Strong knowledge of craft cocktails, classic cocktails, beer, and wine, especially brands local to Philadelphia & the East Coast.  
8. Experience with a variety of cooking techniques
9. Knowledge of current industry trends
10. Knowledge of sustainability in relation to food and beverage
