Barista Needed! 3 Day Shift — Le Lotus Bleu (Lower East Side)
Le Lotus Bleu is a Lower East Side café focused on premium tea, ceremonial matcha, and specialty coffee. We’re a small, design-driven space building something intentional, quality, flow, and presence matter here.
We’re currently hiring for our 2nd barista on staff. This is primarily a solo barista role, so confidence, independence, consistency, and strong hospitality are essential.
NY Food Handler’s Certificate REQUIRED
Schedule & Pay:
Sunday, Monday & Tuesday (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
Hourly + tips
What you’ll do:
- Prepare coffee, matcha, and tea to a high standard
- Execute latte art (required)
- Manage the full flow of service solo
- Open and close the café (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Restock ingredients, milks, and supplies throughout the shift
- Keep the space clean, organized, and visually sharp
- Deliver a strong, welcoming guest experience
Requirements:
- Prior barista experience
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Fast, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Latte art is a must
- NY Food Handler’s Certificate REQUIRED
- Operate a manual La Marzocco espresso machine
- Properly calibrate grinder and make micro-adjustments during service
- Dial in espresso daily: adjust grind size, dose, and yield for optimal extraction

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($17.00 - $20.00) plus tips
Estimated Weekly Tips: $160.00
