HWARO is an intimate chef’s counter experience set within GUI, offering a refined tasting menu shaped by live-fire cooking, fermentation, and seasonal expression. Ranked among the city’s leading steakhouses, GUI delivers a dining experience that is at once polished, expressive, and globally informed—welcoming both New Yorkers and guests from around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall front-of-house operations for the GUI concept, ensuring a seamless, polished, and consistent guest experience aligned with the brand’s standards.
- Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations and administrative functions, contributing to both service execution and strategic planning.
- Lead team management, including scheduling, labor oversight, hiring, and training—cultivating a team that upholds company culture, service excellence, and operational discipline.
- Maintain full compliance with all New York City health, safety, and regulatory requirements, ensuring best practices are consistently executed.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef/CDC to ensure cohesive service flow, strong communication between front and back of house, and a well-orchestrated dining experience.
- Oversee reservations and guest relations strategy, including platform management, pacing, and optimization to maximize both guest experience and revenue performance.
- Contribute to marketing and brand initiatives, supporting campaigns, partnerships, and guest engagement efforts that drive awareness and traffic.
- Participate in SEO, digital presence, and performance meetings, helping align operations with broader visibility, acquisition, and growth strategies.
Qualifications:
- Open-availability including all major holidays
- 4+ years of having high end-high volume front of house experience
- Having Michelin starred restaurant experience is a requirement
- A genuine passion and knowledge for food, wine and service
- Knowledge and appreciation of Korean cuisine and seasonal cuisine is a plus
- A strong sense of urgency and strong communication skill
- Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly, and constantly improve
- Must be meticulously clean and aware of all food safety standards

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $85,000.00)
