Brooklyn Grange operates rooftop farms, event venues, and green roof installations across New York City. Our Programming & Events team produces private events and public programming ranging from weddings and corporate gatherings to workshops, dinners, and community events.

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Event Captain leads the execution of individual events. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors after booking handoff and is responsible for ensuring a successful and well-coordinated event from start to finish.
SCHEDULE
Event Captains will work part time throughout the Season, roughly from April through November, with opportunities to work more as the season ramps up during late Summer through early Fall.
Thursday - Sunday evening shifts regularly anticipated during our primary events season and most hours skewing to the weekends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage client communication and onsite walkthroughs
- Coordinate vendors and enforce venue policies and procedures
- Lead Event Crew during setup, execution, and breakdown
- Oversee event timelines and maintain flow throughout the event
- Communicate space updates and operational needs to crew and vendors
- Return venue to farm-ready condition after events
- Collaborate closely with the Bar Captain to ensure cohesive service
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication

- Hourly rate: $28.00 p/h
