SK Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the opening and daily operations of two distinct concepts: Bueno, an upscale Latin fusion restaurant with a vibrant lounge atmosphere, and Yamasaki, a high-end Asian restaurant, both located within a 15,000-square-foot, multi-concept dining destination in the heart of the Financial District, just steps from the New York Stock Exchange.
This is a key leadership role supporting either concept, working closely with the General Manager and Executive Chef to build operations, lead teams, and deliver an exceptional guest experience from day one. We are looking for someone who is fun, energetic, and passionate about hospitality, with strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team in a fast-paced, high-end environment.

Position Overview
The Assistant General Manager will play a critical role in overseeing front-of-house operations while supporting overall restaurant performance. This role requires a hospitality-driven leader with strong operational experience, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy, upscale dining environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations
- Lead and manage Front of House (FOH) team members, ensuring service excellence
- Maintain a high standard of guest experience across dining and lounge environments
- Assist in hiring, training, and developing FOH staff
- Manage floor operations, including service flow, reservations, and guest relations
- Ensure proper staffing levels and assist with scheduling
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the restaurant
- Handle guest feedback, concerns, and service recovery with professionalism
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and BOH team to ensure seamless service execution
- Assist in managing financial performance, including labor and cost controls
- Support inventory management, ordering, and operational systems
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and company standards
- Lead pre-shift meetings and ongoing staff training initiatives
- Maintain strong communication between FOH and BOH teams
- Uphold company culture, service standards, and brand identity
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a management role within a high-volume, upscale or fine dining restaurant
- Experience in NYC hospitality strongly preferred
- Experience with restaurant openings or new concept launches is a plus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of restaurant financials, labor management, and cost control
- Familiarity with POS systems, reservation platforms, and operational software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, upscale dining and lounge environment
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
- Work environment includes restaurant, bar, and nightlife settings
- Maintain a polished, professional appearance in accordance with company standards
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure and leadership
