Sommelier

King is excited to add an additional sommelier to our talented wine team.

A King sommelier provides thoughtful advice as guests make selections from our 800-label, entirely French and Italian wine list. A successful member of our team is focused on elegant, detail-oriented service and leads the FOH staff in creating memorable experiences for both savvy and uninitiated guests. The sommelier team supports the wine program with outstanding organizational skills in the cellar, including an emphasis on meticulous inventory management. When King sommeliers are not occupied with wine service, they aid in support tasks on the floor and assist management in liaising with the culinary staff.

Strong knowledge and a heartfelt appreciation of artisanal, organic farmers in all regions of France and Italy is a must. Our wine list is particularly deep in Champagne, Burgundy, Piedmont, and Tuscany, featuring vintage verticals by upstarts and icons alike. Deep familiarity with craft and classic spirits, French and Italian culinary traditions, and local agricultural products are also essential. Experience as a bartender, server, supervisor, or manager is a major plus.
