Job Purpose
The Kitchen Supervisor supports kitchen operations by maintaining sanitation standards, assisting with food handling and preparation, and ensuring the kitchen operates safely and efficiently in accordance with brand and health-department expectations. We are seeking someone to lead menu development and manage food ordering.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu development
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including workstations, storage areas, and dish areas
- Assist with food handling, finishing, and preparation as needed
- Support dishwashing and general sanitation duties
- Follow food-rotation, labeling, and storage procedures
- Complete sanitation checklists and cleaning tasks as assigned
- Support hotel events and service needs when required
- Communicate effectively with BOH and FOH team members
Qualifications
- 3–4 years of kitchen or back-of-house experience preferred
- Great understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry items weighing up to 20+ lbs
- Ability to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, and moisture
