About the Role:
I am working with my client to find a thoughtful and service-driven Assistant General Manager to support their daily operations of a refined dining environment. This role is best suited for a hospitality professional who values precision, attention to detail, and elevated guest experiences, while fostering a collaborative and standards-driven team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team & HR Operations: Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing employee engagement; maintain internal documentation and track key team milestones
- Inventory & Procurement: Oversee ordering processes, maintain accurate inventory levels, and ensure product quality and consistency
- Training & Development: Support the evolution of training materials, coordinate schedules, and contribute to the team’s ongoing education
- Service Leadership: Lead by example on the floor, guiding the team through service with a focus on grace, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Financial Oversight: Monitor daily sales reporting, assist with tip distribution, and support payroll processes
- Systems Management: Maintain POS systems and operational tools, ensuring organization and accuracy
- Guest Relations: Cultivate meaningful guest connections, manage preferences, and ensure personalized, thoughtful follow-up
- Reservations Management: Oversee reservation systems, support the reservations team, and optimize booking strategies to enhance the guest experience
- Menu Communication: Work closely with the culinary team to stay current on menu changes, including dietary accommodations and ingredient updates
- Team Education: Lead pre-service meetings, share product knowledge, and create opportunities for continued learning and refinement
- Facilities & Compliance: Coordinate maintenance, track licensing requirements, and ensure readiness for all inspections
- Closing Responsibilities: Execute closing procedures with care, ensuring the space is secure and all systems are properly shut down
- Regulatory Compliance: Uphold all applicable labor laws and operational standards in partnership with HR
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of management experience in an upscale or fine dining environment
- Strong knowledge of food, beverage, and formal service standards
- Poised and professional presence with a commitment to hospitality excellence
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities with precision
- Food Protection Certification and a strong understanding of health and safety standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Detail-oriented, intuitive, and guest-focused
- Familiarity with global cuisines or curated beverage programs is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs when necessary
- Ability to stand and move throughout the space for extended periods
- Comfortable using all required tools and equipment safely

Compensation:
$80,000–$95,000 annually
