About the Role

Officina and Tusk Events are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. This role supports both our events venue, Officina, and our catering arm, Tusk Events—executing thoughtful, seasonal menus with precision and consistency across a variety of formats, from intimate private dinners to large-scale events.

This is a hands-on position for a cook who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is excited by the opportunity to work across multiple styles of service while maintaining a high standard of execution.

Officina is a refined event space rooted in the standards and philosophy of Quince, offering a highly personalized and elevated guest experience. Tusk Events extends that approach beyond our dining rooms—bringing restaurant-level cuisine and hospitality to offsite events throughout the Bay Area.

Our menus are driven by seasonality, strong relationships with local farms, and a commitment to thoughtful, ingredient-focused cooking.

Responsibilities
  • Execute assigned stations with consistency, organization, and attention to detail
  • Prepare and cook dishes for both onsite and offsite events
  • Support event production, including packing, transport, and on-site execution as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas
  • Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Adapt to varying event formats, timelines, and service styles
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional kitchen
  • Experience with high-volume or event-based cooking preferred
  • Strong foundational cooking skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work cleanly, efficiently, and with a sense of urgency
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and offsite events
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly rate: $21/hour + tips
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits (eligible the 1st of the month following 60 days)
