Michael Mina's modern American Steakhouse BOURBON STEAK, located in Glendale is seeking a strong, knowledgeable, service-oriented Assistant General Manager with a passion for hospitality to join and lead the team!
About the Role:
We ask that our Managers motivate and mentor staff's knowledge and development, inspire and delight guests and commit themselves to excellence in food, wine and service. We require demonstrated dedication to service, hospitality and excellence in every candidate that joins the Mina Group team.
-Assist the management team in overseeing the day-to-day operation of restaurant.
-Write the weekly staff schedule. Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed, as needed, and that labor cost objectives are met.
-Ensure continuous improvement in quality of service, operational effectiveness and employee retention and satisfaction.
-Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
-Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
-Prepare various operational reports; keep records pertaining to purchases, sales and requisitions.
-Develop relationships with internal and external customers with effective communication.
- At least 4 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant environment, 2 years in a management role, with a focus on service and leadership
- Culinary or hospitality degree highly desirable
- Proven track record of cost control
- Excellent industry references
- Strong financial acumen - ability to read and interpret financial statements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to understand direction, find solutions to issues as they arise and excellent project execution
