The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Event Sales Manager to lead revenue-driven event sales strategies at Nine Orchard. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional who excels at building relationships, driving new business, and executing luxury events with precision.

You will play a key role in maximizing revenue across corporate, social, and group segments while delivering best-in-class client experiences from inquiry through post-event follow-up.

What You’ll Do

Revenue Growth & Account Development

  • Drive revenue across corporate, social, and group event segments
  • Proactively source new business while strengthening existing client relationships
  • Execute quarterly and annual sales action plans aligned with revenue goals
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the ultra-luxury hospitality market and competitive landscape
  • Identify and prioritize bookings that optimize both event and room revenue
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy

Sales Execution & Client Engagement

  • Conduct venue tours, client meetings, and sales calls; represent the property at trade shows and networking events
  • Maintain consistent outbound prospecting and in-person engagement targets
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Nine Orchard and MML
  • Lead client consultations, identifying needs and translating them into exceptional event experiences
  • Participate in pre-event planning meetings, site visits, and pre-convention meetings
  • Be present on-site for key event moments to ensure seamless execution and guest satisfaction

Account Management & Reporting

  • Manage full event lifecycle from contract through post-event follow-up
  • Analyze monthly production and pacing reports to drive performance
  • Utilize CRM platforms (TripleSeat) to track activity, measure ROI, and maintain accurate client records
  • Develop post-event recaps to support retention and re-solicitation strategies
  • Coordinate VIP arrivals, special requests, and personalized client experiences
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all guest and client information

Operational Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned events and groups
  • Create and distribute detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with culinary, beverage, rooms, engineering, and security teams
  • Manage room blocks, rooming lists, and track pickup/attrition to protect revenue
  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and reactive leads
  • Generate and review sales pacing and production reports

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in event sales within luxury hospitality, hotels, or lifestyle venues
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a client-first mindset
  • Deep understanding of luxury service standards and event execution
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (TripleSeat preferred)
  • Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, and contract negotiation

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($85,000.00 - $90,000.00)

With the help of historians and artisans, a team of world-class architects meticulously restored the iconic, century-old Jarmulowsky Bank to its former Neo-Renaissance splendor. Requiring 1912 blueprint drawings and archival photographs, the Swan Room features grand, arched windows and a rehabilitated ornamental ceiling; pink Tennessee marble floors and Botticino marble walls, meanwhile, recall those found in Grand Central.
