Arami, one of the top Japanese restaurants in the country, is seeking an experienced line cook to join our team. We're looking for an enthusiastic chef who can hustle, execute consistently, bring creativity, and be a positive and professional member of our staff. Meeting and exceeding goals can lead to advancement within the restaurant.
-Working with the Chef to ensure our high standards are being met.
-Learning each station in the kitchen and helping to train new staff.
-Fostering a positive work environment.
-Preparing dishes according to established recipes and methods in a safe and sanitary manner.
-Helping other members of our team when possible.
-At least 2 years of culinary experience in a upscale or fine dining restaurants.
-Knowledge of Japanese cuisine not required, but is a big plus.
-Solid knife skills.
-Ability to handle the usual physical requirements of working in the kitchen (standing, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, etc.).
