With Rome as the singular inspiration for Mother Wolf, Chef Evan Funke’s rich and soulful cooking echoes themes of shepherds, popes, farmers and artisans with wafer-thin wood fired pizzas, hyper-seasonal antipasti and the exceptional pastas for which Funke is renowned. Many of the Roman classics are featured – Carbonara, all’Amatriciana, alla Gricia, al Burro, Arrabbiata and more.

Position Summary

Our servers provide gracious hospitality while guiding guests through memorable dining experiences by providing attentive service, accurate menu knowledge, and anticipating their needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate good customer service by welcoming guests warmly. 
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company.
  • Informs guests of all food and beverage specials.
  • Efficiently and effectively take guests orders, including allergies and substitutions.
  • Mark with the appropriate utensils for the corresponding dishes. 
  • Conduct quality checks with guests.
  • Replenish as needed by bussing and resetting tables. 
  • Understand successful beverage service and ensure positive flow of business. 
  • Promptly drop checks and process payments accurately.
  • Having proper napkin service with the correct etiquette. 
  • Keep side stations clean and organized.
  • Completes all end of shift financial procedures accurately.
  • All other duties as assigned. 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period. 
  • May be required to lift trays of food or drinks up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
  • Must be able to bend or lift up to 50 lbs. 

Skills/Experience

  • At least two (2) years’ previous fine dining experience.
  • Current food handler card.
  • Experience with food and wine pairing.
  • Excellent listener and communicator.
  • Ability to focus on guest interaction and multitask.
  • Team player and able to anticipate others’ needs.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Understands sequence of service and coursing. 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays when required.
