Louma is brand-new bakery in West LA with a mission: blending artisanal baking with social impact. Equipped with top-notch equipment, we’re creating a space where creativity, craftsmanship, and community come together - and we’re looking for passionate baristas to join our launch team.

In our kitchen, we craft breads (sourdough, baguettes, rye), classic pastries (Danish and French-style), and seasonal to-go offerings. Overview:

Elevate the beverage experience at Louma bakery as a Specialty Coffee and Juice Barista. We are seeking a versatile and skilled individual to not only craft exceptional coffee beverages but also create refreshing and nutritious juices. This position is a unique opportunity to contribute to the diverse and high-quality beverage offerings in our artisanal bakery.

Responsibilities:

Coffee & Espresso Crafting

• Prepare a variety of specialty coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, pour-overs, and signature creations.
• Maintain consistently high standards of coffee quality, flavor, and presentation.

Juice Preparation

• Prepare fresh, nutritious juices using a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in the juice preparation area.

Customer Service

• Deliver friendly, personalized service while taking and fulfilling beverage orders.
• Share knowledge about coffee origins, brewing methods, and juice offerings to enhance the customer experience.

Cleanliness & Organization

• Keep coffee and juice preparation areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards when handling beverages and equipment.

Cash Handling

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash and card payments.
• Ensure the cash register is balanced and properly closed at the end of each shift.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth order flow and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the bakery team to pair beverages with baked goods and promote offerings.

Continuous Learning

• Stay up to date on coffee trends, brewing techniques, and health-focused beverage options to provide an informed and engaging experience for customers.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of barista experience, with hands-on experience in specialty coffee preparation.
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, including espresso extraction and pour-over methods.
• Experience preparing fresh, healthy juices is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
