Lead Line Cook — Tasting Dinner Experiences & Market Kitchen

Talula's Table — acclaimed restaurant, market, bakery and coffee bar — is seeking an experienced Lead Line Cook to join our kitchen team.
This role works directly with our chef to execute our intimate evening tasting dinner experiences, while also supporting the daily production that supplies our market, cafe and occasional catering events.
Our kitchen is small, collaborative and ingredient-driven. We work with exceptional local products and hold ourselves to high standards of technique, organization and hospitality. We are looking for a cook who approaches their work with the same care.
Please note: Applicants must live in Kennett Square or the surrounding area. Philadelphia-based applicants will not be considered.
The Role
The Lead Line Cook plays an important role in preparing for and executing evening service. This cook must be organized, focused and capable of managing their station while contributing to a small, highly collaborative kitchen.
You will work closely with our chef during dinner service while also assisting with preparation for the market, café and occasional catered events.
Responsibilities
- Execute dishes for our evening tasting dinner experiences alongside our chef
- Prepare mise en place and maintain readiness for dinner service
- Contribute to daily production for market and café offerings
- Assist with kitchen preparation for special events and catering
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
- Manage prep and service responsibilities with strong time awareness
- Uphold rigorous standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation
Qualifications
- 2+ years professional kitchen experience required
- Strong knife skills and solid culinary fundamentals
- Ability to manage a station and execute consistently during service
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Calm, focused presence in a professional kitchen
- Genuine passion for seasonal ingredients and thoughtful cooking
- Availability for afternoons, evenings, and weekends
- Reliable transportation to Kennett Square
