Corridor Brewery & Provisions is seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Host to join our team. We are a restaurant & brewery in Lakeview, just one block from the Southport Brown Line stop, in the heart of the Southport Corridor—a vibrant area known for shopping, dining, and local charm. Our space celebrates beer and music, playing only vinyl to create a unique and welcoming atmosphere. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host plays an essential role in creating a warm and memorable experience! We keep a fun and relaxed environment, but our team works together and works hard.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and manage the flow of the dining room, bar area and patio
- Manage reservations (Nov-Apr) and waitlists using our Toast reservation system
- Communicate clearly with servers and management about table status
- Distribute and process payment for takeout orders
- Assist with handing out takeout orders to guests
- Answer phones and assist guests with reservations, takeout orders, and general inquiries
- Help maintain the dining room by bussing and resetting tables when needed
- Maintain an organized host stand and clean lobby area
- Assist with guest inquiries and ensure a warm and welcoming first impression
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
- Ability to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment (especially during our busy summer months!)
- Punctual, reliable, and professional
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Previous host or customer service experience is required
Schedule
- Friday through Sunday availability is required
Compensation
- $12.62/hour base pay plus tips
*Chicago Tipped Minimum Wage will increase July 2026
- Tip share is based on the length of shift
- Shifts typically range from 3 to 6 hours, with end times depending on restaurant volume and business needs
