$22–$24 per hour + shared tips (based on experience)

Wildflour is a neighborhood bakery and restaurant focused on high-quality, house-made food. Our menu features fresh sandwiches, seasonal dishes, charcuterie boards, and baked goods made with care and great ingredients.
We are looking for a Lead Cook to help run daily savory kitchen operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a small, collaborative kitchen where quality, consistency, and organization matter.
The Lead Cook will play a key role in daily service, food preparation, kitchen leadership, and menu development while helping maintain the high standards that define Wildflour.
Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations & Service
- Lead daily savory kitchen service and ensure food is prepared consistently and efficiently
- Execute menu items to Wildflour’s quality and presentation standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to maintain smooth service
- Support catering and special orders when needed
Food Preparation
- Prepare daily mise en place and maintain prep levels for service
- Roast meats and prepare proteins for sandwiches and menu items
- Prepare sauces, dressings, spreads, and other house-made components
- Assist with charcuterie boards and shared plates as needed
Inventory & Ordering
- Monitor ingredient levels and maintain organized kitchen inventory
- Assist with placing inventory orders and receiving deliveries
- Track product usage to minimize waste and maintain cost control
Kitchen Organization & Cleanliness
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently followed
- Keep prep stations well stocked and organized
Leadership
- Help lead and support the savory kitchen team during service and prep
- Train and guide kitchen staff to maintain consistency and efficiency
- Communicate clearly with ownership and team members
Menu Research & Development
- Assist with researching and developing new menu items and seasonal specials
- Test and refine recipes to ensure quality, consistency, and efficient execution
- Collaborate with ownership on menu improvements and new food ideas

Qualifications
- 2–3 years experience in a higher-volume commercial kitchen
- Experience with scratch cooking required (sauces, dressings, roasting meats, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Highly organized and able to maintain a clean kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Food Handler Certificate required (or ability to obtain)
Schedule
- Full Time (40 hours/week)
- Tuesday–Saturday, Morning and daytime service with prep responsibilities before and after service
Compensation & Benefits
- $22–$24 per hour depending on experience
