Captain / Lead Server

DAYTIME Lead Server — Coffee & Lunch Service | Bar Oliver

Bar Oliver is seeking a Lead Server to help anchor our lunch service. This is a front-facing role for an experienced hospitality professional who is comfortable serving tables while helping maintain the pace, organization, and standards of the dining room.

Schedule

4 days per week
Must be available to work daytime and morning shifts

Role Responsibilities

Serve tables and provide attentive, professional hospitality

Help support and maintain the flow and pacing of lunch service

Assist teammates and help maintain organization on the floor

Operate the espresso machine and manage coffee service

Prepare basic bar drinks when needed

Engage with guests and maintain strong knowledge of the menu 

Use Resy to assist with reservations, walk-ins, and guest notes when needed

Support general organization and readiness of the dining room and service stations

Requirements

Coffee experience required, including comfort operating an espresso machine

Basic bartending experience required

Prior serving experience in a fast-paced restaurant

Strong hospitality instincts and communication skills

Ability to stay organized and support the team during busy service

Compensation

Hourly: $15.00 plus tips

Estimated Weekly Tips: $800 (conservative estimate)

Seating capacity and earning potential increase significantly during warmer months due to outdoor seating.
