At BOTLD, we are passionate about spirits, exceptional customer service and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We are a 35-seat bottle shop, tasting room and cocktail bar featuring more than 90 spirits from over 65 distilleries that you cannot find in Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores - providing a truly unique spirit and cocktail program in Philadelphia. We are currently seeking part-time enthusiastic and driven individuals to join the team. This is a unique position as it involves bartending, serving and retail responsibilities. Whether you are assisting guests on the sales floor, mixing up cocktails behind the bar or serving food and drinks to tables - you will be playing an integral role in shaping guest experiences. At BOTLD Midtown, you will not only make drinks and engage with guests in the traditional bartender role, but you will also guide them as they purchase bottles for their home bars.
Requirements:
- Previous bartending experience required, retail experience preferred
- Weekend availability is a must
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to carry up to 40 lbs.
- RAMP certification (or willingness to complete in the first 30 days of employment)
- Has a strong base spirit knowledge, know what makes each spirit unique
- Ability to stand for 8 hours at a time
- Adherent to PA state laws regarding alcohol service
- Active and continuous learning and ability to convey information to others
- Ability to read and learn cocktail and syrup recipes
- Courtesy, grace, and confidence
