The Opportunity
We are seeking a hospitality-driven Assistant General Manager to join the leadership team at our New York locations.
The Assistant General Manager works in close partnership with the General Manager to help lead daily operations, support the management team, and ensure that service execution, culture, and operational discipline remain consistently strong.
This role is designed for leaders who are highly engaged on the floor, deeply committed to hospitality, and motivated to grow into broader leadership responsibilities within the organization.
Leadership Development and Growth
Assistant General Managers at Milos play a central role in the success of the restaurant while developing the skills required to eventually lead a restaurant as General Manager.
This role provides hands-on exposure to key areas of restaurant leadership including financial
performance, labor strategy, operational systems, and team development.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead daily restaurant operations with professionalism, urgency, and clear standards
- Support and develop the management team through coaching and mentorship
- Drive strong team culture and accountability across all front-of-house roles
- Lead effective and structured pre-shift meetings
- Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless collaboration between FOH and BOH teams
- Help recruit, interview, and onboard team members who strengthen our culture and service approach
Guest Experience
- Maintain a visible and engaged presence on the floor during service
- Build relationships with regular guests, VIPs, and key clientele
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns with composure and professionalism
- Uphold Milos service expectations consistently across all shifts
- Ensure the dining room operates with precision, warmth, and attention to detail
Operations and Performance
- Support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations
- Help manage labor performance and scheduling with strong cost awareness
- Monitor service flow, reservations coordination, and dining room execution
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards
- Maintain attention to operational details that impact performance and guest experience
Qualifications
- 5+ years of management experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant environment with large teams and fast-paced service
- Strong floor leadership presence and operational confidence
- Demonstrated success developing and mentoring hospitality teams
- High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills
- Ability to remain composed and decisive under pressure
- Professional and polished demeanor
- Strong organizational and problem-solving ability
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $95,000 — $115,000 annually
Compensation is based on experience, leadership capability, and performance.
