ABOUT THE ROLE
TBD Gimbap is the newest concept from Launchpad Hospitality, the team behind Nami Nori — New York City's acclaimed Japanese hand roll restaurant. We're building something bold, neighborhood-rooted, and deeply community-focused, and we're looking for people who want to be part of it from day one.
As a Dishwasher and Porter, you're essential to everything that happens behind the scenes. Your work keeps the kitchen moving, the team supported, and the guest experience seamless. We take this role seriously — and so should you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment throughout service
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Support the culinary team with basic prep and restocking tasks
- Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing dry and cold storage
- Ensure all common areas are kept tidy and compliant with health standards
- Bring energy, reliability, and a team-first attitude to every shift
ABOUT YOU
- You show up on time, ready to work, and take pride in doing things right
- You're comfortable on your feet for 6 to 8 hours and can lift at least 30 pounds regularly
- You work well independently and as part of a team
- You can follow verbal direction and adapt quickly when things shift
- You bring a genuine willingness to learn and grow
- Previous kitchen or BOH experience is a plus but not required — we'll train the right person
