Ballyhoo Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, hospitality focused Server to join Pizza By Sal in Wilmette. 

Concept Overview: Pizza By Sal is a Ballyhoo Hospitality concept dedicated to classic East Coast pizza traditions. The menu focuses on simple, high quality ingredients and time honored techniques.The restaurant captures the spirit of a neighborhood pizzeria where guests gather for slices, whole pies, and familiar Italian American favorites. The atmosphere is casual, energetic, and welcoming, making Pizza By Sal a destination for everything from quick meals to relaxed evenings with friends.

Server Job Summary:
As the primary point of contact for guest interactions in the dining room, the Server
is responsible for selling & serving food & beverages using their knowledge, hospitality and
service skills. Must be pleasant, conscientious and professional with excellent knowledge of
food & alcoholic beverage selections. Must be comfortable suggesting food & wine pairings,
craft beers, and aperitifs and familiar with local beverage products. Must be able to operate
effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, ensure smooth service operations and
provide consistent, pleasant, quality service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests promptly and professionally.
• Guide guests through their dining experience with knowledge and hospitality focus.
• Take and submit food and beverage orders through a point of sale system - Toast.
• Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen and bar.
• Deliver food and beverages accurately and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with service staff to clear and reset tables efficiently.
• Manage guest financial transactions and verify the accuracy of daily sales and payment reconciliation.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the dining area and other restaurant tasks as needed.
• Participate in Pre-Shift meetings and stay informed about menu items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of dining experience preferred.
• Maintain a BASSET and ServSafe Food Handlers Certification.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage preparation and handling.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Point of Sale systems (Toast preferred).
• Must be able to work Weekends, Evenings and Holidays
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
