Mamajuana Cafe Philly – Philadelphia, PA

Mamajuana Cafe Philly is looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Host/Hostess to join our high-energy team. As the first and last impression of our restaurant, the host plays a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable guest experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide a positive first impression

Manage reservations and waitlists using reservation systems such as Resy or OpenTable

Accurately quote wait times and manage guest expectations

Coordinate table seating with servers and management to maintain smooth service flow

Maintain organization and cleanliness of the host stand, lobby, and entrance area

Answer phones and assist guests with reservations and inquiries

Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and kitchen staff

Assist with guest concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary

Ensure menus and host materials are clean, organized, and stocked

Maintain professionalism during busy service periods

Qualifications

Experience with reservation systems preferred (Resy or OpenTable)

Experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Strong organization and multitasking abilities

Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

Friendly, outgoing, and positive personality

Strong attention to detail

Ability to stand for extended periods

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
