Job Details
The Pizza Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality pizzas while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency in the kitchen. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of dough handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while upholding food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and standards.
- Stretch, top, and bake pizzas to order using deck, conveyor, or wood-fired ovens.
- Ensure all pizzas are cooked and presented consistently and meet quality expectations.
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices at all times.
- Monitor oven temperatures and cooking times to ensure product quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
- Assist with daily prep including cutting vegetables, preparing proteins, and portioning ingredients.
- Communicate with the kitchen team to ensure timely execution of orders.
- Follow kitchen opening and closing procedures.
- Assist with inventory control and notify supervisors when ingredients need to be replenished.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a pizza cook, line cook, or similar kitchen role preferred.
- Knowledge of pizza dough preparation, fermentation, and baking techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
