Job Details

The Pizza Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality pizzas while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency in the kitchen. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of dough handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while upholding food safety and quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and standards.
  • Stretch, top, and bake pizzas to order using deck, conveyor, or wood-fired ovens.
  • Ensure all pizzas are cooked and presented consistently and meet quality expectations.
  • Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices at all times.
  • Monitor oven temperatures and cooking times to ensure product quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
  • Assist with daily prep including cutting vegetables, preparing proteins, and portioning ingredients.
  • Communicate with the kitchen team to ensure timely execution of orders.
  • Follow kitchen opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist with inventory control and notify supervisors when ingredients need to be replenished.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a pizza cook, line cook, or similar kitchen role preferred.
  • Knowledge of pizza dough preparation, fermentation, and baking techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Work Environment:
