Hotel AKA Alexandria is seeking talented Line Cooks to join our team and become an integral part of our culinary journey.
Professionally prepares foods that meet company’s expectations for flavor, aroma, visual appeal and cost effectiveness. Safely uses kitchen equipment. Prepares foods from standard recipes. Measures and maintains food quality throughout the service period. Stores and holds foods according to standards and safe food handling practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute food preparation with precision and creativity, bringing our delectable menu to life.
- Collaborate closely with our experienced culinary team to maintain consistency and uphold our high standards.
- Ensure that food is prepared according to recipes and plate presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Embrace a fast-paced environment and effectively manage time to meet the demands of a busy kitchen.
- Display a keen eye for detail, ensuring that each dish is visually appealing and meets quality standards.
- Continuously expand your culinary knowledge and stay updated with emerging trends and techniques.
- Enhance kitchen and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated strong guest service skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills.
- Demonstrated energetic, self-motivating and a “can do” positive attitude.
- Proficiency in English (written and oral).
- Food Handlers Licensed preferred.
- At least 2 years of previous cook experience preferred.
