Position Overview
We are seeking a Lead Server to play a key leadership role within our front-of-house team. This
is not simply a service position — it is a floor leadership role requiring maturity, strong
judgment, and the ability to uphold our standards of excellence in a high-volume, fine dining
environment.
The Lead Server will work closely with management to ensure seamless service, maintain team
accountability, and actively drive the guest experience during brunch service.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of NYC casual fine dining experience, with
demonstrated leadership ability on the floor.
Current Dinner Hours:
Wednesday–Friday: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Sunday: 5:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Saturday/Sunday brunch, weekends and holiday availability is required.
Leadership & Management Responsibilities
Act as a floor leader during service, ensuring smooth execution from open to close
Support management in upholding service standards and Standard Operating Procedures
Lead by example in hospitality, professionalism, and composure
Assist in guiding and supporting other servers and support staff during service
Monitor pacing of service, course firing, and table maintenance across sections
Proactively identify and resolve service issues before they escalate
Communicate clearly and consistently with management regarding guest concerns, team
performance, or operational challenges
Maintain accountability for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Ensure side work is completed thoroughly and efficiently
Support training and mentorship of newer team members as needed
Service Expectations
Deliver warm, knowledgeable, and polished service at all times
Speak confidently about menu offerings, including food, wine, and spirits
Accurately communicate dietary restrictions and special requests to the kitchen
Execute thoughtful upselling aligned with guest experience
Maintain a clean, organized section and dining room environment
Remain calm and solutions-oriented during high-volume service
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of New York restaurant experience in a comparable fine or casual fine
dining establishment
Proven ability to lead a section and support broader floor operations
Strong decision-making skills and situational awareness
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask and maintain excellence under pressure
