Bar Americano is seeking a full-time Assistant General Manager to join our team.
This is a service and floor-managing role. The AGM will be primarily responsible for leading service during busy shifts, maintaining high hospitality standards, and supporting daily operations. Administrative duties are minimal — we are looking for someone who thrives on the floor and enjoys being present with guests and the team during service.
Responsibilities

Lead service on the floor during high-volume shifts

Maintain a strong and positive presence with guests and staff throughout service

Support daily operations and ensure smooth service flow

Assist with team leadership, service standards, and shift management

Oversee reservations, guest relations, and service recovery when needed

Work closely with ownership and management to uphold the bar’s standards and culture
Schedule

Full-time position (4 shifts per week depending on seasonality)

Weekend availability is non-negotiable
-
Late Friday and Saturday nights are required
Ideal Candidate

3+ years of hospitality management or strong service leadership experience

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Strong floor awareness and ability to lead a team during service

Positive, professional, guest-facing attitude

Organized, reliable, and calm under pressure

Interest in cocktails and European bar culture is a plus
