Position Summary
Happy Monkey is seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to manage daily kitchen operations, lead and develop the team, and ensure consistent execution of our menu in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated chef looking to grow within a respected restaurant group while contributing to a creative and dynamic kitchen.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations and service

Lead and supervise the kitchen team during prep and service

Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of all dishes

Train, mentor, and develop line cooks and junior kitchen staff

Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards

Assist with ordering, inventory, and food cost management

Help maintain organization and efficiency across all kitchen stations

Uphold the standards and culture of the restaurant
Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a leadership role (Sous Chef or strong Line Cook ready to grow)

Experience in high-volume or fine-dining kitchens preferred

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards

Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
