Overview
The Dishwasher supports the culinary team by maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen. This role is essential to the daily flow of service and ensures that the culinary team has the tools they need to work efficiently and safely.
Core Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, dry, and store kitchen tools, cookware, and utensils.
- Clean and safely store plateware, flatware, and glassware.
- Keep the dishwashing and pot-wash areas clean, organized, and functional.
- Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and surrounding areas as directed.
- Remove trash, recycling, and compost and maintain clean disposal areas.
- Break down boxes and assist with general kitchen organization.
- Clean kitchen floors and support end-of-shift cleanup.
- Refill cleaning supplies and notify leadership when items need restocking.
- Support cooks and kitchen staff with basic tasks as needed.
- Follow all sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 1-2 years Dishwasher experience in fine dining restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of standard restaurant service procedures
- Knowledge of each job function on the floor and understanding of the priorities of service
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Must be available to work days, nights, and weekends
- Ability to speak multiple languages, including English and Spanish, is a bonus
Health & Safety
- CA Food Handler’s Certification
- Adhere to the highest standards of food safety, food handling, sanitation, workplace safety, and hygiene requirements according to the Los Angeles Department of Health standards to ensure the health and safety of team members and guests

- Involves reaching, bending, and stooping frequently
- Involves lifting, moving, and carrying at least 50 pounds with frequency throughout the shift
