● Wine Service: Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of our extensive wine list, including regions, vintages, and
grape varieties. Assist guests in selecting wines that complement their preferences and meals. Effectively
describe wine attributes and flavors to enhance the guests understanding and enjoyment.
● Food Pairing: Offer expert advice on food and wine pairings to create memorable dining experiences for our
patrons. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless coordination between food preparation and
wine service.
● Upscale Customer Service: Provide impeccable and personalized customer service to create a welcoming and
comfortable atmosphere for guests. Anticipate guests; needs and preferences, ensuring a memorable and
delightful visit.
● Reservations: Have strong awareness of reservations, VIPs, walk ins, guest details, and reservation pacing
● Order Taking: Take accurate and detailed food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests or dietary
restrictions are communicated to the kitchen staff promptly.
● Table Maintenance: Ensure that tables are impeccably set, clean, and organized before guests are seated.
Continuously monitor and maintain the dining area, ensuring it remains clean, tidy, and aesthetically pleasing.
● Sales and Promotion: Promote and upsell wine selections, special offers, and events to enhance the guests & overall experience and contribute to the restaurants revenue goals.
● Knowledge Sharing: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, wine selections, and wine-related news. Share this
knowledge with colleagues and guests to elevate their appreciation and understanding of wine.
● Responsible Alcohol Service: Adhere to all applicable alcohol regulations, ensuring responsible alcohol
service and refusing service to intoxicated guests when necessary.
● Billing and Payment: Accurately process guest checks, handle payments, and manage cash transactions
efficiently and securely.
● Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the restaurants staff, including sommeliers and management, to
maintain a cohesive and efficient work environment.
