Job Details
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Part-time Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, a dedication to excellence, and a desire to grow within our ever-changing and growing restaurant. 

This role will also have the opportunity to grow and expand into further creative territory. 

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and present dishes to the exacting standards of our James Beard-nominated chef.
• Ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the Lilac Tiger.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory management and order supplies as needed.
-Report to the Sous Chef and Executive Chef for meetings or needs throughout the week's services.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a strong line cook or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Passion for food and a commitment to quality.

Lilac Tiger is Chicago's newest collaboration amongst three of the hospitality industry's major players, actively striving for new and invigorating dining opportunities in the city. Zubair Mohajir (Wazwan, Coach House), Ty Fujimura (Arami, Small Bar, Entente), and Won Kim (Kimski) have come together to curate an intimate South Asian dining experience that is matched with bold and vibrant cocktails, spirits, and beers, curated by Beverage Director David Mor (TRUCE, Cindy's, Robert et Fils).

In the space formerly known as Wazwan, Lilac Tiger is taking life and building its own identity as a thoughtfully-curated cocktail bar and dining spot. For those who have frequented Wazwan in the past couple of years, rest assured that the house favorites are staying, including the Wazwan team! Dishes like the THC Sando, Wazwanimal Burger, and Chettinad Chicken Masala will be joined by collaborative dishes by Chefs Zubair and Won, offering up a melding of Korean and Indian flavors and ingredients. From Duck Fried Rice to Whole Fish and Indian/Korean Pickle Plates, this new menu is packed with a punch of flavors and spices throughout.
