Food Runner

Osteria Padre Pio is seeking a professional, experienced Food Runner to join our team.

We are a busy, family-owned, Michelin Guide Italian restaurant known for traditional cuisine, strong service standards, and attentive, detail-driven hospitality. Our dining room is fast-paced and structured, with high expectations for timing, communication, and professionalism.

We are looking for a food runner who understands that this role is essential to the flow of service. Precision, urgency, and awareness are critical. The right candidate takes pride in being reliable, organized, and proactive in supporting both the kitchen and dining room teams.

The ideal candidate:

• Has 3+ years of restaurant experience (high-volume preferred)

• Understands basic service flow and timing

• Can carry multiple plates confidently and safely

• Communicates clearly with servers, chefs, and support staff

• Maintains composure in a fast-paced environment

• Has strong attention to detail and food presentation

• Maintains a clean, polished, and professional appearance

• Thrives in a structured, team-oriented environment

• Deliver food accurately and efficiently from kitchen to table

• Ensure correct table numbers and seat positions

• Confirm dishes are properly garnished and presented before leaving the kitchen

• Assist servers with table maintenance and clearing as needed

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of service stations

• Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house staff

• Support overall service flow during high-volume shifts

• Restaurant experience preferred

• High-volume experience strongly preferred

• Ability to lift and carry multiple plates safely

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure

• Dependable transportation

• Must be local to the Westchester area
