Our Floor Manager supports the General Manager in executing daily café operations while taking primary ownership of the retail and dog-side business. This includes daily operations: opening/closing, scheduling, staff management, and vendor relationships. This role plays a critical part in maintaining organization, cleanliness, and operational excellence across both the café and dog spaces. You are a hands-on leader responsible for ensuring the space is clean, safe, well-stocked, and aligned with our hospitality standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities 🐶 Retail & Dog-Side Leadership (Primary Ownership)

Manage all retail inventory (dog toys, treats, merchandise, accessories)

Track sales trends and assist in product selection

Place and receive retail orders

Maintain retail organization and merchandising standards

Conduct monthly retail inventory counts

Ensure pricing accuracy in POS (Toast) in collaboration with GM

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dog area, including:

Ensuring waste stations are stocked and monitored

Enforcing cleaning protocols after accidents

Monitoring odor control and air flow standards
-
Ensuring dog furniture and surfaces are cleaned regularly
🧼 Cleanliness & Maintenance Oversight (Both Spaces)

Uphold daily cleaning checklists for café and dog areas

Ensure side work and deep-cleaning tasks are completed consistently

Maintain organization of storage areas, retail shelving, and back-of-house supplies

Monitor condition of furniture, fixtures, gates, flooring, and dog-area materials

Report maintenance needs to GM and track follow-up

Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored

Actively coach staff on sanitation standards and accountability
📋 Standards & Policy Enforcement

Enforce training manuals, SOPs, and hospitality standards set by the GM

Support onboarding and floor training of new hires

Hold team accountable to service, safety, and cleanliness expectations

Ensure all dog policies are clearly communicated and followed by guests
🏪 Daily Operations Support

Assist with monthly full inventory (café + retail)

Support ordering processes (non-food supplies, retail, operational items)

Maintain organization throughout café (storage, back areas, retail displays)

Act as Manager on Duty when scheduled
