Bar 109 / Corridor 109 is hiring a Server to join our Front of House team!

Bar 109 is a new bar concept featuring a full-liquor, cocktail, wine, and sake program—operating separately from the main restaurant. We’re looking for a hardworking, reliable Server to support the bar team and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow in a beverage-forward environment working directly with our head bartender and a passionate team.

The Server position is multifaceted and will include barback and host duties. The ideal candidate is a team player who takes initiative, stays organized, and is open to supporting the bar program in different capacities as needed each night. Must be available Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. 

Responsibilities:

• Work as a Server under the direction of the Chef / Owner Brian Baik and the General Manager to assist in front of house operations at SMP Hospitality which consists of Corridor 109 and Bar 109
• Assist with daily setup, cleanup, and breakdown of restaurant and bar
• Learn the ever-changing menu and have knowledge of the wine list and beverage program
• Server responsibilities will have a wide range of duties including Host duties and Bar Back duties
• Set up duties to include ironing napkins / linens, polishing wine glasses, tableware, menu printing and cutting, memorizing any guest allergies or dietary restrictions, beverage service, and explanations of dishes and menu items to guests. Additional tasks as needed for operations may be included.
• Work in tandem with BOH team
• General cleaning as may be required including dishwashing, glass washing, glass polishing, bathroom maintenance, etc. 
• Other responsibilities as part of the day-to-day operations.
• Ensure company protocols and policies are upheld, including all health compliance requirements, setup, and cleanup procedures.
• Arriving to work on time, following uniform policies and appropriate dress, and general workplace professionality. 

Requirements:

• Must be available Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays. Please list availability between Tuesday - Saturday. 
• Team player, no ego, we are looking for exceptional candidates that are willing to roll up their sleeves and do any and every task needed for the restaurant. Must have strong principles and integrity
• Hospitality and alcohol service experience preferred but not required. The right person and personality is more important to us than a pedigree of experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when called for
• Communication and interpersonal skills with focus on guest experience
• Must complete RBS certification
